yeah so what does a soon to be father say to his soon to be son? well, i hope things are going well for you right now, floating around in your wonderful haven of fluid and darkness. I like darkness, especially when I am computing. Soon you will experience (hopefully) somewhat of a roller coaster ride out of your mommy into the light. I am really excited about you coming to play. I hope to be able to perform some sort of extracurricular activity with you. Right now I really enjoy playing on the computer, playing the guitar, and also fixing any random thing that might be broke or need to be repaired.

I hope to be able to spread my hobbies with you but if you end up with your own hobbies then that will be fine as well.

At the time that I type this your mother is about 7 months pregnant and probably passed out on the couch. She likes to do that since you drag a lot of her energy from her. See she is carrying you around in her belly right now. She is really happy about it as am I. We just got married in October of 2005 and here you are, gonna pop out in November of 2006. I won’t really get into how you came about at this time.

Well I am not really sure what to say but I am very thankful for what God has given us and I can’t wait to be able to spend time with you. I have a scooter that we can ride on when your mommy says it is okay. I might take you on rides when she isn’t looking. Would that be fun? Attached is a picture of your mommy on the scooter. Well goodbye for now but I already love you very much and can’t wait to be able to squeeze you and hug you a whole lot.

it’s amazing how busy our lives can get. we run around day to day, driving, sitting in traffic, working, always going as fast as we can…..and for what?

anyway, enough of that. things have been really busy with trying to get the house ready and other random here and theres. we learned about breast feeding and also our child birthing class is going really well. as Kelly and I have discused it’s going to be difficult once the class is over. Being able to hang out with other couples that are pregnant and talk about what to expect, plans for birth, and fears have been a really unique experience.

Kelly is doing great. I am really surprised how well she has been feeling for being 7 months into carrying a child in her belly. We are super excited about being able to be parents. I must say that I have been nervous at times but it’s interesting to see how people react and expect you (me) to be more nervous then you really are. We watched a movie in our child birthing class on Sunday from the father’s perspectives and it seems like a lot of fathers get really scared or just plain freaked out from thinking about being a father. I am very excited and eager to be able to father this child. -abrupt ending-

So with the baby coming in a few more months we decided it was time to pull up the carpet in the living room and dining area and put down a different floor. The first purchase consisted of a Friday night trip to Douglasville Lowes to purchase $600 worth of vinyl tile.

After much preparation and investigation we decided that vinyl tile would be too much work for what it would have given us. A family trip (Kelly’s parents busted in to help) to the floor store and we found the laminate wood(?) flooring that we wanted to use. Kelly’s dad ended up having to sit outside with the cart of laminate flooring in order for me to return with the mighty truck (the Colson’s van wouldn’t hold all of the flooring that we bought).

Yes thats correct. We are having a boy. I am having issues scanning the pictures from the ultrasound so below are pics of us on the way to the doctor. Kelly says since it is a boy I will be able to teach him to fart and drive vehicles. We get to go back in another month and get another ultrasound done since the baby was moving too much to get a good picture of the umbilical cord and heart.

Tomorrow we find out (hopefully) if the little creature growing inside Kelly’s belly is a boy or girl. Stay tuned for updates.

well. we had a cookout last weekend. we got baptized last Sunday. i almost drown. Kelly is pregnant. WOO HOO! The chevelle is almost running. The garage door is broke. my powerbook is still kicking. Heidi and chloe have fleas. I have a softball game tomorrow night. Easter Sunday is on its way.
