Inspirations from cheese in a can. joey, kelly and danny.

Over the past few weeks Danny has been showing some signs of smiling. He really likes the swing we have at home but this weekend we managed to get a hand me down swing that has lights on it. He loves the swing.

I also have pictures from the weekend that I will post hopefully tomorrow.

Danny went to see Santa today. Can you believe that he told Santa he wanted a double edge razor, Nintendo WII, a macbook pro and a radio for his daddy’s truck? Yeah I know my first thought was why would he need a razor when he can’t even shave?

he’s pretty intense with thought. lately he really likes to be held, mainly by his mom and when he isn’t the focus of attention he gets pretty fussy. he also likes to be driven around in the stroller.

So one week ago today we were busy at the hospital just getting to know you. You are very talented already. I am amazed by your yellow poop, your sucking of my thumb when I really need both hands, and your gentle, adorable, peaceful sleep, sometimes jolted by the faintest sound or bump.

Today we took our first family outing to get an idea of how things would work out. Kelly fed Daniel, changed him and got the diaper bag together along with a nice little cute outfit. After strapping the little turd into his car seat he smiled ever so kindly and ripped out a gigantic fart (farts with Daniel usually have been more productive in the physical aspect than the gaseous aspect). So Kelly was able to get him unbuckled and changed once again. Anyway we went to Target and he was fine. Just cute and adorable as always.

Almost two weeks over due, Daniel Robert Rutledge graced us with his presence. Daniel was born at 7:11am on November 15th. He weighed in at a hefty 8 pounds 9 ounces and is 21.5 inches in length. Kelly pushed through for about 19 or so hours of labor. Good job Kelly!

Both the baby and mom are doing great.
