blood, sweat & tears
blood
A three hour scavenger hunt last night and about five hours of labor on our broke down water heater ended with a little redness. A very aggravating experience only to find that my level of troubleshooting wasn’t as sufficient as it should have been. Regardless the damn water heater is fixed, unless it blows up tomorrow. Yes I said damn (you’d say it too if your fingers looked like this).
Oh yeah and Whirlpool outsources their tech support to India and they have a very poor warranty policy. If you can avoid buying a Whirlpool product, I would recommend you do.
sweat
I took the day off from work today which I will elaborate on in just a few. Danny and I got the opportunity to go to Lowes (see Blood above) and then to the bookstore. The combination of Danny running around the bookstore trying to read all the books and the heat from the black car sitting in the parking lot caused a little moisture. While in the bookstore Danny passed by the Seattle’s Best area and found the little Horizon milk area, where he promptly notified me that he wanted a chocolate milk. Below is a picture of him enjoying the chocolate milk. It’s great because he would take a sip and then offer me a sip. He loves to share and it’s absolutely the best. He gets it from his Momma.
tears
The morning started out with dropping Kelly off at the airport. She is currently in the Bahamas with her friend Becky which is a well deserved trip for her. This marks her first extended away time from Danny since the little guy was born.
As men, Danny and I showed no emotion as we left Kelly at the security checkpoint. After getting home to a very quiet home things became a little more clear. It was real difficult to change Danny’s diaper with the inner portion of my glasses covered with tears. It hit me all of the sudden that my evenings would be spent alone without my best friend. Here is a picture of Kelly and Danny at the airport. We love you and can’t wait for you to be home.

Love this post.
(a) The blood is pitiful, as was the whole dealing-with-India-people-scenario. I’m sorry. And the “damn” was warranted for sure.
(b) If it’s warm enough to sweat, be thankful for Georgia. Apparently green grass & blossoms aren’t enough to signal Spring here, because we’re supposed to get snow this weekend. Ugh. And we love Horizon milk…during December, the cartons read “Ho-Ho-Horizon,” which we thought was pretty cool. Of course, Danny’s pretty cool, too…that goes without saying.
(c) Male bonding, male bonding…it makes for good times. She’ll be home before y’all know it. And let’s be truthful here…I know she cried more/longer than both her men. Still…your tear-stained glasses story almost made ME cry. Gulp.

Yeah, me too. I couldn’t hardly type due to my glasses being tear streaked. Your finger looks horrible. I do hope you took good care of it and Danny kissed it for you since Mom couldn’t. Your best friend will be back soon and I’m sure she does miss yall more than you would even know. I love you all and feel your pain.
