time out
Sometimes I think it’s difficult to simply slow down and take a time out. For Danny slowing down isn’t something that happens often.
Danny has managed to get himself into a couple of time outs lately and boy is he adorable when he gets upset. Between the couch and the wall is the time out area that we have established. He has made it there a couple of times usually for doing something mean to his doggies. He has feelings and we love him dearly.

Oh man, I can feel every emotion on his face from that picture. I feel like I am right there with him in timeout!

Surely he doesn’t deserve this! No no no, just kidding. He probably picked up some mischievous tricks from his big cousin buddies. Perhaps he didn’t see that time out is what happens after the mischief though. Just one question – could maybe next time I come be in time out for him? He has so much to do, you know.

Dad and Mom can be such MEANIES, can’t they? Okay, Joey and Kelly, now is the time to start saying the old phrase that we all heard growing up when we were punished and SWORE we would not dare repeat to our children, “This is going to hurt me a lot more than it hurts you.”

Wow…all these commenters really love their kids more than Scotty and I…because we’re all, “If we don’t see this face when administering punishment, then we punish harder!” Caroline can be pouting, crying, screaming “sorry” and putting on a good show, and I’ll be sure to tell her, “I know…and I love you…but you WILL learn.” I’m so hardcore.
p.s. I think the precious, pitiful face is more from embarrassment over his mommy taking a picture of him with a big ol’ stain on them pj’s. How dare you!!!

his daddy took the picture (and made the post). i don’t remember who gave him the cheetos or whatever left that ginormous stain, THAT could have been me.

I sit corrected. Bad Joey. Adorable post, though, so you are redeemed! And here I am talking about dirty pajamas while Caroline’s eating ice (typical) and playing in the junk I just Swiffered. Hooray for my parenting skills.

the ginormous stain was from mac and cheese. he loves to eat it with his hands and I think more ends up on his chest than in his mouth. more for the doggies to enjoy while he rampantly runs around trying to grab their tail.
