this is not our christmas card picture….it didn’t fit in the cards right. but wow, this was a good time. this, you see, is the closest danny is likely to get to santa claus this year because a) his mama is allergic to malls at present, and b) because he doesn’t look so interested to me. what do you think?

i know it doesn’t look like all that much, but i want you to know that this post was much more difficult than it looks. here’s the thing….as danny gets a little older, he can be left to his own devices for longer and longer stretches of time (he’s up to about 2 minutes now), in safe areas, of course. like the hall outside the office here. what could possibly go wrong there? well, the outside temperature, for one thing. it could be 27 degrees outside. how are these things related? because: chloe does not prefer to go outside when it is that cold. so, she sometimes pretends that inside is outside, if you know what i mean. like the hall outside the office. by the time my smeller alerted me that something was HORRIBLY WRONG, danny’s right hand was covered in dog poo, which was distributed, remarkably evenly, across the back third of the hallway. so, in the middle of this post, i had to address this biohazardous situation. the emotional damage will linger, i imagine. and mom, if he hadn’t had the pacifier in his mouth, then….well, i can’t even think about that. long live paci. and dancing black santas at wal-mart.

I don’t even know how to comment……but I will try.
I guess its not such a bad thing our dogs like to eat their own poop. They are like a Roomba, but a Poomba instead, get it? man I am funny.
Merry Christmas!

Was it worse than the day Danny was left unattended for a split second in the bean bag without any clothing on? Man that was rough.

joey: because i was alone, it was worse. it is far preferable to share these excremental experiences with another, IRL.
greg: i’m a big fan of the poomba, but our models evidently are broken. that, or danny is taller, and scares them away with his drool and lumbering gait.
